Capstone Kitchen Training Program

Capstone Community Action's Kitchen Training program is a 4-week culinary training session open to adults 18 and up. 

The first session is taking place at our Morrisville location from July 10-August 4, 2023. 

Selected students will learn:

  • Culinary Methods and Applications in a hands-on environment
  • Fundamentals of Food Theory
  • Safety and Sanitation
  • Career and Professional Development

Students will work with NECI trained Senior Chef Instructor Joey Buttendorf of Capstone Community Action and prepare 125/meals per week for Capstone’s community meal freezer while learning the fundamentals of working in a commercial kitchen.  

Successful participants will receive a certificate of completion in Capstone’s Kitchen Training Program. Adults age 18+ who are unemployed or underemployed, or who face barriers to successful employment are encouraged to enroll in this free 4-week training class. Students who successfully attend every day will receive $100 VISA gift card on Fridays of each week. Daily attendance is required to receive stipend.
