Capstone Head Start is enrolling children and families
Head Start at Capstone Community Action has multiple openings in Lamoille, Washington, and Orange counties, which provides services for families with young children and pregnant individuals. We also help support you in your next steps in life, the caregiver of the child or pregnant individual, with connections to social, health, housing, food services, and much more.

Support Neighbors Navigating Challenging Times
Capstone financial coach, Mary Johnson (left), recently supported Diana* through a complex point in her life. A single mom of two teenagers, without a car, and living in a motel due to a recent eviction, Diana was simultaneously fired from her job and diagnosed with cancer. Mary helped her enroll in Reach Up and improve her financial skills, and worked with Diana for a year in individual meetings and classes.
Fast forward to today, Diana has a new job, is paying down debt and starting to improve her credit score. Most importantly, she is excited to restart her life with greater stability and independence! *Note: Name has been changed to protect privacy.
