Vermont Everyone Eats Announces 2 Million Meals Shared with Vermonters since September 2020!

The VT Everyone Eats (VEE) community has achieved incredible accomplishments, including this milestone of 2 million meals purchased from VT restaurants and served to neighbors seeking a nourishing and uplifting meal.

Those 2 million meals = $20 million in supplemental revenue for VT restaurants, $2 million paid to VT farmers and food producers who provided ingredients for these meals, and thousands of new relationships formed between farmers, restaurant workers, grassroots and community leaders, volunteers, meal participants, and lawmakers.

In Central Vermont, we have shared over 207,000 of these local meals. That's just over 10% of the statewide number! With our partner, ShiftMeals (by Skinny Pancake), we have collaborated with a dynamic network of over 49 highly dedicated community organizations and 13 restaurants in Washington, Lamoille, and Orange counties. This program would not be possible without each and every amazing team member, volunteer, mutual aid group, farm worker, food producer, vegetable gleaner, delivery driver, and kitchen staff member that lend essential hands to making it all happen!

VEE uplifts and amplifies the core mission of Capstone Community Action, and dovetails with myriad programs across our service area. We are filled with gratitude to be a continuous part of this unique program.
