Class #1 January 7-Budgeting and Building a Spending Plan: Think 50-30-20. In order to live within our means and save money, it's important to keep spending ratios in balance. Learn how it works.

Class #2 January 14-Avoid the Debt Trap: If you are considering a major purchase, or you already have debt, this class is for you.  Debt that helps build wealth can be a good thing, as long as you know how to manage it effectively.

Class #3 January 28-Build and Maintain Great Credit for a Lifetime:  Having good credit will save you thousands of dollars over your lifetime. In this class you will learn the keys to building and maintaining great credit, how to interpret your report, and steps you can take now to improve your credit score.

Class #4-Future Planning: Do you have your financial ducks in a row? We'll talk about why you would want a will, how much you need to retire, when to take out social security, and touch on the new tax code and how it might affect you. 

Class #5-Steer Your Way to a Great Auto Purchase: Do you rely on a personal vehicle to get you where you need to go?  There's lot's to consider when buying and repairing a vehicle.  In this class you will learn about the cost of car ownership, how to shop for a car, negotiate a fair price, and get a loan that works for your budget.

(All 5 classes are required for participants in the Vermont Individual Development Account Program)
