Position: Capstone is seeking a part-time, 25-hour per week Child Nutrition Program Assistant to join our work in serving Franklin and Orleans counties. This position will implement the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and other programs designed to recruit, establish, and support childcare providers to enhance home-based childcare's quantity, quality, and stability in the community. This is a fully remote position.

Qualifications: Candidates should have an associate's degree, with a minimum of 3 years working in a community-based organization or non-profit organization, or relevant work experience that would provide the skills and knowledge to be successful in performing the work of the Child Nutrition Program Assistant.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, professionally, and respectfully with diverse populations.
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, and recordkeeping skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team toward shared goals and objectives.
  • Implement the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program and VT Family Child Care regulations.
  • Network with appropriate agencies.
  • Ability to travel to programs throughout Franklin and Orleans counties and occasionally to Washington County for team meetings.

Compensation & Benefits: This is a part-time, non-exempt position with a 25-hour per week standard schedule and competitive pay at $16.32 – $20.05 per hour.
